Study 1 (WPAPP) | Study on improving depression
(*WPAPP-K: A Web-App Based Lifestyle Physical Activity Promotion Program to Improve Depressive Symptom Experience: Midlife Korean American Women)
1) Research Overview
We are currently studying the effects of a web/app-based lifestyle physical activity program on improving depression among middle-aged Korean women residing in the United States.
2) Research participation criteria
- Korean-American women aged 40 to 65
2. Parents or grandparents are Korean
3. People without disabilities that make physical activity difficult
4. Ability to read and write English or Korean
5. Email and Internet access available
6. Those who have experienced depression within the past two weeks
3) Research progress method
· Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups.
1. Educational Information Provision Group
2. Online forum + 1:1 coaching/support program participation group
· All participants will complete the questionnaire three times in total (before starting the study, after 6 months, and after 12 months).
· The total period of participation in the study is 12 months.
· The entire research process is conducted online, so there are no time or location restrictions.
4) Compensation for research participation
· $50 gift card for each completed survey (up to $150)

Study 2 (CAI) | Breast Cancer Patient Support Study
(*CAI: Cancer Pain management (CAPA) with additional components for Asian American breast cancer survivors with depressive symptoms (ABD) and the individual optimization functionality)
1) Research Overview
We are currently conducting a study to determine the effectiveness of technology-based information and coaching/support programs for Asian women living in the United States who have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.
2) Research participation criteria
- Asian American women aged 18 or older
2. Those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer
3. Ability to read/write English, Chinese, Korean, or Japanese
4. Internet access available
5. Chinese, Korean, or Japanese descent
3) Research progress method
· Participants will participate in an online forum + 1:1 coaching/support program.
· You will need to complete the questionnaire three times in total (before starting the study, after one month, and after three months).
· The total period of participation in the research is 3 months.
4) Compensation for research participation
· Up to $150 reward after completing the study ($50 × 3 times)
· Free Fitbit
