PurposeThe goal of the GKNF-USA is to support Korean nurse leaders for advancing nursing science, clinical practice, and policy, and enhancing networking worldwide to facilitate communication and to foster global leadership.

Major objectives of
the Foundation are
to: -
- Support Korean post-doctoral fellows and advanced practice nurse (APN) fellows for their training in the USA institutions.
- Support Korean-American faculty in the USA institutions for their capacity building as scholars and researchers.
- Support Korean nursing students in advanced educations in the USA institutions.
- Support collaborative research and clinically-focused projects between Korean nurse scientists in Korea, USA, and other countries.
- Provide consultations and networking opportunities for Korean nurse scientists and APNs in Korea, USA, and other countries.
- Support other scholarly projects as specified by the donor.

Functions of the
Foundation are to: -
- Develop plans for capacity building of Korean-American nurse scientists including nursing faculty, nurse researchers, and nurse clinicians in the USA.
- Develop, plan, implement, and evaluate the programs that advance nursing science and clinical practice in the USA.
- Develop resources and construct global network of Korean nurse scientists in the USA and in the world.
- Support other activities deemed necessary for the advancement of nursing science and clinical practice in the USA.
