The GKNF-USA has developed, implemented, and evaluated the programs that advance nursing science and clinical practice for capacity building of Korean American nurse scientists including nursing faculty, nurse researchers, and nurse clinicians in the United States.

To support nurse scientists, the GKNF-USA offers the following annual awards and grants:

Scientific Scholarship

• Aimed at supporting future Korean nursing leaders in the development of nursing and clinical sciences.

Mi Ja Kim Research Grant 

• Intended to support research projects conducted by Korean American nurses who are full-time faculty or post-doctoral scholars residing in the United States.

DHK Distinguished Mentor Award 

• Serves to acknowledge an outstanding Korean nursing faculty member and/or clinical practitioner who has significantly contributed to mentoring early-career nurses and the new generation of nurses.
