About the Scholarship
This research grant is designed to support a research project of Korean American nurses who are full-time faculty or post-doctoral scholars residing in the USA. The grant will be offered annually and will support the following:
1. Pilot or feasibility studies to obtain data that will enhance the competitiveness of the principal investigator's (PI) future research grant application at the national level.
2. Awards will be up to $10,000 (maximum allowed), and costs should be commensurate with the proposed work.
3. Awards will be for one year from the date of the award.

Notification: June 1, 2026
Funding start date: July 1, 2026
Eligibility
1. The PI must be an active GKNF-USA member at the time of application.
2. The PI must be a full-time faculty or post-doctoral researcher in an academic institution in the USA.
3. The PI who has current NIH R01 funding or current extramural funding (over $250,000 of direct cost per year) as a PI is not eligible.
4. The PI can resubmit a modified proposal up to two times after submitting the original application.

Use 11-point Arial font, single-spaced with 1-inch margins. Please assemble the required materials in the following order.
Submission Guideline
The application must be completed and submitted to GKNF (GKNFUSA@gmail.com) by April 1, 2026. All application materials should be formatted into one PDF file, and electronic submissions are the only accepted format. The PDF file should include all required documents as listed above.
