FutureBridge: The GKNF-USA Mentoring Program

The GKNF-USA FutureBridge Mentoring Program is designed to support the career and leadership development of Korean and Korean American nurses - whether on research or clinical tracks – as well as nursing students in both the United States and South Korea. Through this initiative, the GKNF-USA offers invaluable opportunities to explore diverse career pathways, expand professional networks, and gain insights into the evolving landscape of nursing innovation.

The program objectives are to:

  • Foster supportive relationships between mentors and mentees
  • Support the professional, personal, and interpersonal growth of individuals enrolled in BSN and advanced nursing degree programs (e.g., Master’s, DNP, or PhD), postdoctoral fellows, nurses pursuing leadership roles or advancing their careers, and junior Korean American faculty
  • Facilitate and support collaborative research and clinical projects among Korean nurse scientists and leaders
  • Promote communication, networking, and the exchange of scholarly information, resources, and professional development opportunities
